How we work
There is a version of this trade that runs on volume: swap the visible part, write the ticket, move to the next call. It is faster and it is more profitable per hour, and it is the reason so many people have an electrician's number they have called three times for the same flickering light.
We work the other way. We diagnose to the root cause even when that takes longer, we quote a fixed price before touching anything, and we put a warranty on the labor that makes a callback our cost rather than yours. That alignment is the whole point — if doing it right the first time saves us money, you can trust that we are trying to.
What we work on
The Chippewa Valley has an unusually wide range of electrical work packed into a small radius, and we cover all of it rather than specialising into one slice:
- Older residential. A large share of housing in Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, Alma and Menomonie predates 1960. Knob-and-tube, cloth-insulated conductors, 60-amp services and Federal Pacific panels are routine finds, and modernising them safely is most of what we do.
- New residential. New construction and remodel wiring from print to final inspection, plus the EV chargers, generators and surge protection that newer homes want.
- Agricultural. Dairy and crop operations across Dunn, Clark, Buffalo and Trempealeau counties. Farm wiring is its own discipline — equipotential planes, washdown-rated methods, stray voltage — and doing it to house-wiring standards fails.
- Commercial. Tenant fit-outs, three-phase service, motor controls, LED retrofits and lot lighting, scheduled around your business hours rather than ours.
- Lake and seasonal property. Chetek, Cumberland, Lake Hallie, Pepin and the river towns. Dock bonding done wrong is genuinely lethal, and we treat it accordingly.
Licensed, permitted, inspected
All work is performed by Wisconsin-licensed electricians. We are bonded and insured, and we will send a certificate of insurance naming your landlord or general contractor the same day you ask.
We pull permits. Every jurisdiction inside our radius has its own process, and we file with whichever applies to your address, meet the inspector on site, and hand you the signed card. This is not optional in our shop: unpermitted work is uninsurable work, it surfaces at the worst possible moment during a sale, and no warranty we could write would compensate you for it.
Where we come from
We are based in Eau Claire and we are not a franchise or a call-center dispatch operation. When you ring 715-684-2609 you get someone who can actually tell you whether your problem is urgent, roughly what it will cost, and when a truck can be at your door.
Every hour of labor we bill is covered for three full years. If our workmanship fails, we come back and make it right at no charge — no trip fee, no diagnostic fee, no argument.
- Written, not verbal. Your warranty terms are printed on the invoice you sign, with the covered scope and the expiration date on it. Nothing about your coverage depends on remembering a conversation.
- Transferable when you sell. Remaining workmanship coverage transfers to the next owner at no cost. Call us with the closing date and we reissue the certificate in their name — a genuinely useful thing to hand a buyer's inspector.
- Parts carry the manufacturer's term. Panels, breakers, fixtures, EV chargers and generators are covered by their manufacturer, typically 1–10 years depending on the product. We register the equipment in your name at install and handle the claim if one is ever needed.
- No fine print on the callback. A warranty visit means no trip charge, no diagnostic fee and no minimum. If we caused it, fixing it is on us.
