A Level 2 charger is a large continuous load — typically 40 to 60 amps running for hours at a time. That is not a circuit you improvise. We load-calculate your existing service first, tell you honestly whether it needs upgrading before the charger goes in, and install on a dedicated circuit sized for the charger you actually bought.

What this service covers

  • Level 2 (240V) charger installation for every major brand, plus Tesla Wall Connector
  • Dedicated 40A, 50A and 60A circuits sized to the unit
  • Load calculation before quoting — so you find out about a needed service upgrade now, not mid-install
  • Hardwired and NEMA 14-50 receptacle installs
  • Garage, carport, driveway and detached-garage locations
  • Outdoor-rated installations for properties with no garage
  • Dual-charger and future-proofed conduit for a second vehicle later
  • Panel upgrades bundled with the charger install where the service cannot carry it
  • Documentation for utility and manufacturer rebate programs

Your warranty on this work

EV Charger Installation carries our 3-year workmanship warranty. Every hour of labor we bill is covered for three full years. If our workmanship fails, we come back and make it right at no charge — no trip fee, no diagnostic fee, no argument. Parts and equipment carry their manufacturer's term on top of that, and we register the product in your name at install so a future claim is not your paperwork problem.

Read the full warranty

  • Written, not verbal. Your warranty terms are printed on the invoice you sign, with the covered scope and the expiration date on it. Nothing about your coverage depends on remembering a conversation.
  • Transferable when you sell. Remaining workmanship coverage transfers to the next owner at no cost. Call us with the closing date and we reissue the certificate in their name — a genuinely useful thing to hand a buyer's inspector.
  • Parts carry the manufacturer's term. Panels, breakers, fixtures, EV chargers and generators are covered by their manufacturer, typically 1–10 years depending on the product. We register the equipment in your name at install and handle the claim if one is ever needed.
  • No fine print on the callback. A warranty visit means no trip charge, no diagnostic fee and no minimum. If we caused it, fixing it is on us.
Questions

EV Chargers — questions we get asked

Does my panel need upgrading for an EV charger?

Sometimes. A 200-amp service in a home without electric heat usually has room. A 100-amp service often does not. We do the load calculation before quoting so the answer comes with a number attached rather than a guess.

How long does the install take?

A straightforward garage install next to the panel is a half-day job. Long runs, detached garages, or an install bundled with a service upgrade take a full day.

Can I install a charger in a detached garage?

Yes. It needs a properly sized feeder and usually a sub-panel in the garage. We size the conductor for the run length so voltage drop does not slow your charging down.

Are there rebates?

Utility and manufacturer incentives change often, so we will not promise a number here. We provide itemized documentation with the load calculation and equipment details that rebate programs ask for.
