Spa wiring is one of the few places in a house where a mistake is immediately life-threatening. Code is correspondingly specific: a dedicated GFCI-protected circuit, a disconnect within sight but not too close, correct bonding of every metal part in the vicinity, and the right burial depth on the feeder. We do all of it and we get it inspected.

What this service covers

  • Dedicated 240V GFCI-protected spa circuits, sized to the unit's nameplate
  • Code-compliant emergency disconnect siting — within sight, at the required distance
  • Equipotential bonding of the shell, water, and all nearby metal
  • Direct-burial or conduit feeder at correct depth from panel to spa
  • Above-ground pool and swim spa circuits
  • Sub-panel installation where the existing service cannot carry the added load
  • Load calculation before quoting
  • Permit and inspection handled by us
  • Repair and code correction of existing spa wiring that was not done right

Your warranty on this work

Hot Tub & Spa Wiring carries our 3-year workmanship warranty. Every hour of labor we bill is covered for three full years. If our workmanship fails, we come back and make it right at no charge — no trip fee, no diagnostic fee, no argument. Parts and equipment carry their manufacturer's term on top of that, and we register the product in your name at install so a future claim is not your paperwork problem.

Read the full warranty

  • Written, not verbal. Your warranty terms are printed on the invoice you sign, with the covered scope and the expiration date on it. Nothing about your coverage depends on remembering a conversation.
  • Transferable when you sell. Remaining workmanship coverage transfers to the next owner at no cost. Call us with the closing date and we reissue the certificate in their name — a genuinely useful thing to hand a buyer's inspector.
  • Parts carry the manufacturer's term. Panels, breakers, fixtures, EV chargers and generators are covered by their manufacturer, typically 1–10 years depending on the product. We register the equipment in your name at install and handle the claim if one is ever needed.
  • No fine print on the callback. A warranty visit means no trip charge, no diagnostic fee and no minimum. If we caused it, fixing it is on us.
Questions

Hot Tub & Spa — questions we get asked

Can my hot tub plug into a regular outlet?

A small 120V plug-in spa can. Anything 240V requires a dedicated hard-wired GFCI-protected circuit with a disconnect — no exceptions, and an inspector will catch it.

What does bonding mean and why does it matter?

Bonding electrically ties every metal part near the water together so they are all at the same potential. Without it, a fault can put a voltage difference between the water and a metal rail — and a person touching both becomes the path. It is the single most important part of the install.

Do I need a permit for a hot tub?

Yes, in every jurisdiction we serve. We pull it and schedule the inspection as part of the job.
