A ceiling fan is heavier and more dynamically loaded than the light fixture it usually replaces, and standard fixture boxes are not rated to carry one. Most wobble complaints trace straight back to a box that was never meant for the job. We install a fan-rated brace box, balance the blades, and wire the switching the way you actually want to use it.

What this service covers

  • Fan-rated brace box installation — required, and frequently skipped by others
  • Replacing an existing light fixture with a fan, including running the extra conductor for separate switching
  • New fan locations where no box exists today
  • Separate wall switches for fan and light, rather than a pull chain you can never reach
  • Sloped and vaulted ceiling installations with the correct down-rod and canopy
  • Outdoor-rated fans for covered porches and three-season rooms
  • Remote and smart control pairing
  • Wobble diagnosis and correction on existing fans

Your warranty on this work

Ceiling Fan Installation carries our 3-year workmanship warranty. Every hour of labor we bill is covered for three full years. If our workmanship fails, we come back and make it right at no charge — no trip fee, no diagnostic fee, no argument. Parts and equipment carry their manufacturer's term on top of that, and we register the product in your name at install so a future claim is not your paperwork problem.

Read the full warranty

  • Written, not verbal. Your warranty terms are printed on the invoice you sign, with the covered scope and the expiration date on it. Nothing about your coverage depends on remembering a conversation.
  • Transferable when you sell. Remaining workmanship coverage transfers to the next owner at no cost. Call us with the closing date and we reissue the certificate in their name — a genuinely useful thing to hand a buyer's inspector.
  • Parts carry the manufacturer's term. Panels, breakers, fixtures, EV chargers and generators are covered by their manufacturer, typically 1–10 years depending on the product. We register the equipment in your name at install and handle the claim if one is ever needed.
  • No fine print on the callback. A warranty visit means no trip charge, no diagnostic fee and no minimum. If we caused it, fixing it is on us.
Questions

Ceiling Fans — questions we get asked

Why does my ceiling fan wobble?

Nine times out of ten it is mounted to a standard fixture box instead of a fan-rated brace box, so the whole assembly flexes. The remaining cases are unbalanced or bent blades. Both are fixable in one visit.

Can I control the fan and light separately?

Yes, but it needs an extra conductor between the switch and the fan. If the existing cable does not have it we either pull new cable or install a remote-capable controller — we will tell you which is cheaper in your house.
