Wiring & Rewiring — questions we get asked
Do you have to tear open all my walls?
No. Most of a rewire is done by fishing cable through existing cavities from the basement, attic and strategic small openings. We open what we must, we tell you where before we start, and we patch and prime the drywall as part of the job.
Can I rewire in stages?
Yes, and many people do. A common sequence is panel and service first, then kitchen and bath, then bedrooms. Each phase leaves the house safe and code-compliant on its own — you are never left half-finished in an unsafe state.
Can I stay in the house during a rewire?
In most cases yes. We work zone by zone and restore power to the rest of the house each evening. For a whole-house rewire on a small home, some people prefer to be out for a few days — we will tell you honestly which situation yours is.
