Our warranty, in plain English
Every hour of labor we bill is covered. The terms are printed on the invoice you sign, the coverage transfers to the next owner if you sell, and a warranty visit costs you nothing — no trip charge, no diagnostic fee, no argument about whether it qualifies.
Three tiers, matched to the work
Bigger, more permanent systems carry longer coverage. Diagnostic repair work — where the value is in the finding as much as the fixing — carries a year.
Year — Repairs & Diagnostics
Diagnostic and repair work is guaranteed for one year. If the same fault comes back within twelve months, the return visit and the re-repair are free.
- Troubleshooting and fault repair
- Safety inspections and corrections
- Emergency and after-hours repair work
- Same fault returns? Return visit is free
Years — Standard Workmanship
Every hour of labor we bill is covered for three full years. If our workmanship fails, we come back and make it right at no charge — no trip fee, no diagnostic fee, no argument.
- Lighting, fans, outlets and switches
- Outdoor and landscape lighting
- EV charger installation
- Hot tub, spa and detector work
- Commercial installation labor
Years — Panels & Whole-Home
Service upgrades, panels and whole-home systems carry our longest workmanship coverage: five years on all labor, plus we register the manufacturer warranty on your equipment for you so the paperwork is never your problem.
- Panel upgrades and service changes
- Whole-home and partial rewiring
- Generator and transfer switch installs
- Whole-home surge protection
- New construction and remodel wiring
What comes with every job, regardless of tier
These are not upsells or premium options. They are the terms.
Written, not verbal
Your warranty terms are printed on the invoice you sign, with the covered scope and the expiration date on it. Nothing about your coverage depends on remembering a conversation.
Transferable when you sell
Remaining workmanship coverage transfers to the next owner at no cost. Call us with the closing date and we reissue the certificate in their name — a genuinely useful thing to hand a buyer's inspector.
Parts carry the manufacturer's term
Panels, breakers, fixtures, EV chargers and generators are covered by their manufacturer, typically 1–10 years depending on the product. We register the equipment in your name at install and handle the claim if one is ever needed.
No fine print on the callback
A warranty visit means no trip charge, no diagnostic fee and no minimum. If we caused it, fixing it is on us.
Licensed, bonded and insured
All work is performed by Wisconsin-licensed electricians and permitted where the jurisdiction requires it. An unpermitted install is an uninsurable install, and we will not do one.
Code-compliant or we redo it
If an inspector fails any part of our work, we correct it and re-inspect at our own cost, on our own schedule pressure — not yours.

What the warranty does not cover
We would rather be clear about this now than argue about it later.
- Acts of nature. Lightning strikes and utility surge events are not workmanship failures. Whole-home surge protection is the answer to that risk, and we install it.
- Rodent and pest damage. Common in rural outbuildings and seasonal cabins, and not something any install method prevents.
- Water intrusion from roof, plumbing or flood, including a panel that gets submerged.
- Work modified by someone else. If another party alters our installation, our coverage on that portion ends.
- Consumables. Bulbs, batteries and filters.
- Equipment defects — these are covered by the manufacturer rather than by us, but we register the product in your name and handle the claim so you are not on the phone with a manufacturer's warranty department.
Warranty questions
What exactly does the workmanship warranty cover?
Our labor. If a connection we made loosens, a device we installed fails because of how it was installed, or work we performed does not hold up, we return and correct it at no charge — no trip fee, no diagnostic fee, no minimum.
What is not covered?
Damage from causes outside our work: lightning and utility surges (which is what surge protection is for), rodent damage, water intrusion, someone else modifying our work afterwards, and normal consumable wear such as bulbs. Equipment defects are covered by the manufacturer, and we handle that claim on your behalf.
How do I make a warranty claim?
Call 715-684-2609 and give us the invoice number or the address. We do not require the paper copy — we keep the record on our end. Warranty visits are scheduled at the same priority as paid work.
Does the warranty transfer if I sell the house?
Yes, at no cost. Call us with the closing date and the buyer's name and we reissue the certificate to them for whatever term remains. It is a genuinely useful document to hand a buyer's inspector.
What if an inspector fails the work?
We correct it and re-inspect at our cost. A failed inspection is our problem to solve, not something we come back to you with a change order about.
How long do the parts last?
That depends on the product. Breakers and panels typically carry long manufacturer terms, EV chargers and generators usually 3–5 years, fixtures anywhere from 1 to 10. We register every piece of equipment in your name at install so the coverage is documented and claimable.
